You Up For Yurt Living?

Occupy Toronto continues in style with Yurts.  I first heard about yurts from a colleague of mine who's very aware of their eco-nature, and I've sort of become obsessed with them.  They're so cool looking, and so functional as well.  They can be as big ans as small as you want, and you can totally winterize them as well.  Basically, you just build a platform and throw on up in a couple of days.  You do have to get a cook stove, and an eco-toilet.  I'm not quite sure how that functions, but I'm sure it's not quite as decadent as we're used to.  But there's something so dreamy about them.
What do you think?  Would you live in one?  Would you cottage in one?

Tomorrow's Daily Challenge:
Thank three people for something.

I failed the last challenge.  I've got a nasty cold and I get dizzy going from one room to the next, so no way can I do any crunches or push-ups.  Boo.

  1. I would totally live in a yurt. Not permanently, but I always had this thought that one day I'd buy my own property & build my own house. I'd live in a yurt while I'm designing the house of my dreams & then overseeing the construction of it. I think it would be fun, like camping for a couple years, but with a little bit more luxury & hopefully running water. I don't think I could do it without running water.
