Is my Polish Showing?
14.10.15
Many of you don't know that I was born and partly raised in Poland. I literally came to Canada on a boat. Yup. That's right. I learned to speak English and adjusted to life in Canada. It's just me, my Mom, and my sister here.

You Say That Like It's a Bad Thing
31.8.15
Many people, most really, when they first meet me are surprised to learn about the raging nerd I am.
Miami Outfit: South Beach
12.3.15
Tank - Love Nail Tree // Skirt - Arnhem // Necklace & Hat - F21 // Sunnies - Lace Affair // Sandals - FreePeople
Walking around Espanola Way and the rest of South Beach in my graphic tank from Love Nail Tree was somewhat satisfying to me. This particular one is about the perversion, and decline, of the Amderican Dream; so, I found it humorous to be a Canadian walking around with this on.
But of course, no one noticed, they were too bust looking at the fabulous skirt from Arnhem. Loved thie fabulous way it just swished with me.

Upon Arrival
8.7.14
Floral Fringe Kimono - Zara // Tribal Tank - En Creme // Bralette, Shoes, & Necklace - F21 // Shorts - Target
Three hours of driving to a cottage go very quickly when you have someone as conversational and entertaining as my friend Reggy beside me. It felt like a quick breeze. What we arrived to, however, was far less entertaining.
Rain.
That first day it decided to rain pretty much the whole time. It's fine because us ladies had a ball chatting it up nonetheless. We can always entertain ourselves. But it did make for quick and slightly haphazard shots.
My choice was grainy shots because of darkness and much less rain because of the tree canopy, or risk my camera and go out into the full fall. I chose grainy. I hope y'all understand that the camera comes first.

Organic Hippie Veggie Freak
29.4.14
Lace Inset Tank & Kimono - UO // Jeans - Gap // Shoes - Threadsence // Necklace - I forgot
Usually I start to seriously think about my garden around this time of year, but with temperatures hanging just barely above the freezing mark it's the furthest thing from my mind. I have my seeds ready and my girl and I stand with baited breath for those warmer days to start so we can grow our own delicious food.
In the mean time, we've signed up for a delivery service offered here. It's a service that delivers a huge box of fresh organic produce to our doorstep. Not only is it super convenient to have it all just appear, but it challenges us by giving us things we wouldn't always buy. It's just freed us up quite a bit and I love it. Plus, since it's all organic we end up getting more creative so that we can use up every single last little bit.
I know. I'm geeking about organic produce and home gardens.
Bare Naked

Shirt & Sunnies - F21 // Jeans - Gap // Booties - Walmart // Jewelry & Bag - Threadsence
This particular morning I was headed to set. So that means nothing done. No hair. No make up. I had straightened my hair a few days back, so I just kept that as it was when I woke up, and all I did was put on moisturizer.
Normally I do something. Put on some concealer, and mascara at least. But nope. You have to have a fresh face for the artists to do their work of turning you into your character. Hence, washed and undone I went forth.
At least Han Solo added a bit of swagger to my step.

Stay Cool WIth Star Wars
25.7.13
Tank, Sunnies, Yellow Bracelet & Shorts - F21 // Shoes - ModCloth // Bag - Threadsence // Pink Cuff - Brandy Melville
The heat and humidity are killin' my style. I'm trying my best to stay cool, and stay upbeat. *I find the humidity oppressive* Most days I want to lounge around in front of my fan wearing the absolute bare minimum that courtesy will let me get away with. But going out to a script read through means that I need to get dressed. And I did, but my brain was not focusing on anything. I barely made out the words on the script in front of me. It was rough. Though Star Wars always helps!
If you have any, I would love your styling stay cool tips!
When Your Mom Raids Your Closet
16.7.13
Botany and Lace Tank - c/o Ever+Mi Crush // Shorts - Ruche (old) // Shoes - Payless // Sunnies & Jewelry - F21
When I took these pictures I had already been biking for two hours, so pardon the wrinkled shorts. What's worse is that since it's so hot and humid, the entire backside of my shorts was soaked with sweat. Gross, I know. Sorry. That's why you aren't seeing any pics of this top from behind. But the tank has this cool crochet back and that kept my back nice and airy. So bonus for bikers!
As I entered the house, my mom looked at me and said, "Cool! Where did you get that top?" Usually when she says that it means she wants one. So yeah, my mom might be sporting this top 'round the neighborhood soon.
And that means that at some point we will be wearing the same thing at the same time. *Don't worry I'll take a picture of that if it happens!* What I wish I could convey to you in photos is how detailed and intricate this top is. It's one of those pieces that you happen upon once in a while and then treasure for years to come.
Pretty much most of the Ever+Mi Crush selection is kind of like this. Uh-oh. But yay!
p.s. a few days left to enter my pretty rad giveaway.

Before The Heavens Opened Up
11.7.13
Blouse - c/o Gracie B boutique // Shorts - Gap // Shoes & Yellow studded bracelet - F21 // Black bracelet - ebay // Red Stone bracelet & Silver Ring - Threadsence // Necklace - Ardene // Eagle ring - Lulus
a Rafflecopter giveaway
To me these pictures signify the soft wet wind that heralded the storm that swept Toronto. Not five minutes after I clicked the last pictures, the heavens opened up and started the waters that would flood several streets, and a whole section of a downtown highway. My own bike ride home was doubled in length as floods made me look for alternate routes home, and as I waded through knee high water beneath underpasses.
Throughout it all the cut off shorts coupled with the carefree inspired top helped me look at it all as a grand adventure, and not once did the thought that something bad would happen enter my mind. That's probably what attracted me to Gracie B boutique - the optimistic devil may care attitude inherent in their pictures. Something we could all use a bit of.
This top immediately drew me because of it's light free flowing cut, and darker design. It's just one of many unique items that each have a voice of their own.

On Self-Portraits
7.5.13
Tank - Brandy Melville // Pants - don't remember (no tag) // Boots - Cheap shop in Chinatown // Necklace - Threadsence // Rings - Threadsence, F21 and other Misc
One of my favorite music artists sings, "You ain't nothin' special. You're no more celestial than anyone else." That's something to keep in mind. Yes, you are one of a kind, but so is everyone else.
That brings me to what I want to say today: for all you/us bloggers, when taking pictures of yourself just get over it. You're not the most *anything* in the world - beautiful, ugly, graceful, awkward, funny, etc etc. You are just you. And for your blog/site, your readers want to see you. Warts, bruises, love handles, scars, smiles, dimples and all.
So when taking self portraits, just relax, have some fun and get used to seeing your face in all is made up glory and it's made down normal. I've come to *mostly - flawed remember?* accept that I'm also not the most of *anything*. So you guys see me made up, but you also see me with a face mask on and you also see me like this:
We're all flawed and imperfect beings. But at the same while perfection might be fascinating to look at momentarily, in the long run you'd get either bored or very sad. Whereas, well, with someone like me, you can think to yourself, "Well, at least I don't make those faces in public!"
*Because, come on, I know you make them in private*
