Hair Tutorial: Easy Headband Updo

23.11.12

This is not only perfect hot weather hair, but it's actually best on third or fourth day hair as the headband doesn't slide around as much.  Because of my head shape though, I always have to pin the headband in place to secure it regardless of what day I do this on.

  13. this is so very pretty ! thanks for the tutorial very clear :-) I have tried but it was a catastrophe :-( .... I have hair on the shoulder, not long as yours, the elastic don't want to stay on my hair it is slipping and when I succeed to finish the hairstyle it is not pretty like you have done... I guess I have to practice more :-) ... my hair band is not a real one but an elastic that I sew in hairband.

    1. Practice is key. But also I have trouble with elastics staying on my head and it's really about finding the right one. Also, in the tutorial I do use bobby pins to help keep it all in place, so maybe adding more would help? And if you had some curl to your hair I think it would look really cute with pieces coming out. Very sweet and unkempt.

    1. If you're asking about the hairstyle - practice. If you're asking about the health of my hair - well I never blow dry my hair, don't really use styling agents, use oil on my ends, and hardly touch my flat iron. Then I try to eat well, drink lots of water, and get rest. Hope that answers your question.
