Sweater & Scarf - thrifted // Cords - Le Chateau // Boots - Locale // Necklace - Ruche
Sitting on the metro today I looked around me and saw a ton of put together adults. *as well as some not so put together, but that's not relevant here* In a single moment it dawned on me that we're all the same. On the outside I'm a put together adult as well. I'm about their age, and that's what I look like on the metro, but I'm a mess of insecurities and neuroses, and that's when I realized that so are they. Everyone, every adult, is a bag of insecurities and neuroses. *Anyone who says they're not is lying* That made me feel better. Everyone I meet, audition for, anyone who intimidates me, etc. etc. is just a bag of mush like me. It was a comforting thought that made me feel better in that we're all on the same playing field.
I love your ombre sweater. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has grand moments of reflection on public transit:)

What if I don't want to be a bag? What if I want to be a box? Or a briefcase?

I love love love that scarf! My students (I am currently student teaching) accused me of wearing a scarf everyday. I might be guilty as charged.
ReplyDeleteWEll you can be any container you so desire.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with a scarf addiction. IN fact, I dare say it's much better than some other addictions you could be guilty of. Thanks for writing!
