Last week, our power went out for four days due to the ice storm that hit Toronto, and Southern Ontario.  Then, just as the power came back on, on Christmas Day, my baby girl came down with the stomach flu.  So while nursing her and throwing out all the food in our fridge, we wished ourselves a Merry Christmas.  Once she finally started getting better, I started vomiting with the same stomach flu, and spent a happy birthday on the couch or...well...doing that vomiting thing.  Of course, I had just stopped and was still really weak, when Andrew got it.  Which brings us up to now.

Hard to believe it was all just one week.

That's the reason I've been absent here.  As reasons go, I think it's pretty good.  I hope you all had a much better holiday than us.  And I wish us all a fabulous New Year!

Salut!

  1. Hope everyone is feeling better soon! The flu struck here right before xmas... first Ruby, then my husband and Memphis. I thought I was in the clear, but I got it on Christmas and missed the whole day... doing "the bathroom thing." Yesterday was the first day I felt like eating... it was a doozy!! Glad to have you back, and best wishes for the new year!

    1. It sucks to be sick huh? And it especially sucks when it goes right through your family and everyone is feeling terrible. Hate that. Thank you for your words. I'm so glad your family is also feeling better :)

    1. Thanks! I wish it didn't snow quite so much. haha. I guess the grass is always greener...or in this case, the snow a little whiter.

  6. Love this outfit! Same storm ripped through MI, but we somehow missed it, so we were a bit of a harbor in the storm for friends in surrounding towns who got hit.
