When Tea is Enough

Some days, a witty, quirky story suffices.  Some days, like today, I feel the need to wax poetic and somehow find some way to be profound.  To touch someone on a much deeper level.  But of course, that's when my mind swirls with too many thoughts and tangents.  Each one unwilling to settle and slow down long enough for me to turn it into a coherent thought or piece of verse.  It's one of those days where you feel something powerful and poignant is just at the tip of your tongue.  If you focus too much on it, the search will drive you crazy.

So instead, I'm taking the day to let everything sit.  To not try to search for profound meaning, or philosphical insight.  To instead, drink my tea and let that be enough.
