My energy has been so low these holidays. Not sleeping well, coupled with poorer than normal eating habits, and a touch of a cold all adds up to low energy. And that means low productivity.

Sartorial Rabbit Hole of Joy, or Lyst
30.11.15
I've recently been going down the best rabbit hole ever. And I do mean that. I've been spending time on Lyst. It's seriously like a fashionista's online Mecca. You create an account and answer a whole bunch of questions about which designers you like and don't like, then your own private boutique is curated for you. Basically, Lyst scours a whole ton of online shops and puts them all in one place. Imagine, instead of tons and tons of boutiques spread across they're all in one place - like a mall - but so much more awesome because no one steps on your toes.

Favorite Scarves
19.10.15
I have a few. Those standards go-tos. You know, the ones you reach for without really thinking. Obviously, my Polish scarf is on that list. As is a gorgeous black one from Kish & Evie - you'll be seeing that a lot this Winter.

Free Fridays
25.9.15
Fall, Winter, and Spring means that Andrew's business is in full swing. Which is great for finances obviously, but it also means a lot of business trips and a lot more responsibility on me at home.
Heart on a Sleeve
16.9.15
As much as I try, as much as I claim to be jaded and cynical, I often fail. As a friend once said to me, "You think you are, you hope you are, but you're not." That same friend now routinely calls me 'innocent.'
All The Good Things
12.8.15
Something about sitting around a campfire with moonlight and starlight streaking down. With a lovely whiskey and good friends, there is perfection. I did that.

Cheeky
24.6.15
Who doesn't love being a little cheeky? A little coy and innocent on the outside but a tempest of wit and salaciousness inside?
Enter the French brand, Lochers. Because who else does the cheeky innocent better than the French.

I Love My Job
14.5.15
As an artist freelancing her way through life, I have many jobs. Three....well four: actor, photographer, blogger, and mother....more if you add partner and producer...oh dear Lord! But right now I'm talking about photographer. Sartorially.
As a photographer I get to wear whatever the heck I want. Within reason of course. No pasties and feathers...though to be fair I don't usually wake up wanting to wear that anyway. As long as I'm not too provocative and can move around, I get pretty much free reign.
For example, this day I spent shooting a lovely client, and I got to head into work in casual shorts and a fun denim shirt. So I reiterate: I love my job.
Helps that I'm the boss too.

Sartorial Minimalism?
24.4.15
I look at minimalist outfits a lot...wistfully so. Wishing that my closet consisted of clean black, white, grays - it seems like such an effortless chic sartorial existence. But then you know what? I am immediately drawn to color pattern, embroidery, fringe, and what could be called a sartorially bold choice for the everyday. This vest. Most people would not grab it for their everyday. I did. This vintage piece is now an essential, a must-have if you will *some of you will get that reference, others, will need to click on the link*
And when it comes down to it, it's the perfect expression of my style.
That, and neutral sandals.

Miami Outfit: Wynwood Walls
16.3.15
Overall - Spell Designs via Turquoise Lane // Tank & Bralette - F21 // Boots - DIYed by me // Bag - Target // Necklace - Monserat De Lucca via Beau and Bauble in Toronto
It's the last of the Miami outfits today. Then we're back to Toronto, and the chillier weather.
These walls were so stunning, and every new one gave me a new idea for a shoot. Basically, I could've shot in the area for a whole year with each new wall giving me new inspiration for a new story to tell.
How do photographers ever walk away from here?

Miami Outfit: Travelling Between Climates
9.3.15
Kimono/Cardigan - Arnhem // Queen top - F21 // Shorts - Spell Designs // Boots - DIYed myself // Necklace - Vanessa Mooney via ThreadSence
The Miami outfit posts are coming in now. Monday's walk through Coconut Grove and along the waterfront was glorious. And I couldn't resist changing into shorts at the first opportunity. These Spell shorts are fabulous. I sized up in them just a touch because I wanted the extra length in the bum. As in, I wanted my bum fully covered when I was walking.
This Arnhem maxi cardigan was definitely perfect in the day to protect from the sun, and in the evening to protect from the cooler breeze. Plus, it stole the show everywhere I went. People were constantly remarking on it.
I wore this while travelling from Toronto with Jeans. It provided enough warmth in the snowy weather, and then with a quick switch out to the shorts was perfect in the higher temperatures of Miami. When I'm travelling like this I like to think about what will easily work with both climates so that you're comfortable and not freezing or boiling on one end.
Side note: it also makes the perfect thing to wear when your breezing through the hotel on the way to the pool and back.

Just before the huge snowfall I managed to grab two outfits that I haven't yet shared with you. I know, I know. I should do things chronologically, but hey, I really wanted to show that pretty pretty dress, and then I wanted to
Hey, I always said I share my daily outfits, just may not be in the exact order I wore them in. That's fair right? Sometimes, I'm just plain lazy *read: pooped from working and mothering* to edit pics and post them in the exact order they came in.
So shoot me. Or just send coffee...that might be the less murdery option.
Rural Polish Lass

Dress - c/o eShakti // Cardigan - Ruche
*old* // Tights - gift // Socks - UO
// Boots - Locale // Necklace - Free People
// Rings *other than ring finger rings* - F21
I've worked with eShakti before. They always have a great selection of classic pieces, and whenever we get the chance to work together, I always end up with a wonderful addition to my wardrobe. This time was no exception. I selected this gorgeous red boho dress from their holiday collection, and because their pieces are customizable, I decided to make the sleeves on the dress full length.
I wanted a dress that was geared more towards Winter, rather then towards Summer, not that you can't wear this dress on a cooler summer day, just that I had a specific idea in mind. I'm so happy with the way the longer sleeves turned out.
The dress now has a great boho-folk feeling to it. Something that's fitting, as I'm a girl from rural Poland *not 100% true, I split my time between urban and rural Poland - but still braided Polish lass here* so the braided farm girl thing is in my blood.
And as a last note, can we take a moment to talk about the red? I couldn't resist this bold red. I'm having a love affair with red lately. Something about it has me enchanted.
Any colors that have totally captured you right now?
